What We Do

The Kiwanis Club of Kalamazoo seeks to improve the lives of children in the greater Kalamazoo area. We do that through hands-on service projects as well as monetary support for many organizations that complement our mission.

Major Partners

Pretty Lake Camp

Pretty Lake Camp has provided a totally free summer camp for more than 50,000 youth in the Kalamazoo County area who could benefit the most from the experience. No family pays to attend this nonprofit camp and everything is provided for them – from toothbrushes to clothing to transportation.

Children’s Nature Playscape

Children’s Nature Playscape off of Bronson Park is a nature-inspired landscape where children 2-10 years old can engage in creative, unstructured play with natural elements (like boulders, logs, sand, and water) in a park-like setting.

Service Leadership Programs

Loy Norix Key Club

Our Kiwanis club supports the Loy-Norrix Key Club by partnering in service projects and providing mentorships and guidance for the Key Club students. In return, they demonstrate boundless energy and are a source of inspiration!

Parchment Aktion Club

Aktion Club is a service club for adults with disabilities, with a mission to provide adults living with disabilities an opportunity to use their abilities, develop leadership skills, and serve their communities.

Our club members provide guidance and model leadership while providing engaging meeting presentations or demonstrations for the Aktion Club in Parchment, Michigan.
